Ok. What Can I Do with this Blog? July 10, 2007

While many schools are hesitant to use blogs, there is a place for them in the learning environment.  One place would be for professional development.  Teachers could learn about new authors, ideas, trends and discuss their application for the classroom. It really gives you access to the world of ideas - literally.

Blogs are usually written by an individual with comments available from others. What I am wondering is if you already have a web page, why blog? In one respect, I think many blogs are more personal and casual than a traditional web page.  Plus you don’t need to know a web program or html. There are ways to monitor comments, so you could use with students. Like anything else, you need to develop something that has value. Of course, value is a somewhat subjective thing.
